Welcome
Omokoroa No 1 School is a very progressive, fully funded school with a committed staff and Board of Trustees who recognise the special nature of our school, set as it is in a developing rural area. The school encourages, challenges and leads pupils to discover more about themselves, their peers, and people sharing their community and wider world, and then to strive for success and high levels of achievement in all they do.
The staff endeavour to bring out individual abilities in all aspects of a child’s development whether they be academic sporting or cultural. It is our philosophy to maintain and extend the high standards already set at Omokoroa No 1 School, with the emphasis on traditional education and values. We do have structured assessment and evaluation to ascertain the strengths and areas of need in our pupils, and use all the resource avenues open to us to provide a quality education.
Effective communication, qualified forward planning, intense pride in our school, plus utilisation of quality professional teaching staff and support staff using modern resources, ensures pupils have an excellent education.
